How are the steel posts attached?
Depending on your local circumstances, you can choose between
- Screw-on posts
- Concrete-in posts
No, our fence posts do not have pre-drilled holes, as these must be individually drilled to compensate for uneven ground or slopes.

The following tools and accessories are required for assembly:
- Spirit level (ideally two magnetic spirit levels)
- Drill with M8 tap
- galvanised M8 x 25 mm screws with nuts and washers for attaching the fence panel to the slotted screws
You will need the following accessories to set your posts in concrete:
- Concrete
- Spade & Shovel
- Wooden Blocks for Supports
- Wooden Slats
- String for Positioning the Posts
- Gravel for Drainage
The fence line you require is not adjusted by the posts. The line can be adapted to your existing conditions by shortening individual fence panels.
The delivery includes only the requested quantity of fence panels. The necessary slotted screws can also be ordered from us.

The tabs of the fence elements and the slotted screws are to be connected with M8 hex bolts, nuts and washers.

Railing attachment
What types of posts are available for railings?
Our railing posts are 5 x 5 cm and are manufactured with tabs. Depending on the situation, you can choose between...
- Corner posts – mounting brackets are attached at a 90° angle
- End posts – mounting brackets are attached on one side
- Intermediate posts – mounting brackets are attached on both sides.
Railings are important elements for fall protection. To avoid any risk, we recommend installation by a professional.
At ELEO Express, we offer screw-on posts to match your balcony or terrace railing. Should you require a different mounting option, please contact our customer service.
The railings from ELEO Express can be attached to the house wall using L-brackets. It's best to seek advice from a hardware store regarding this.
The delivery includes only the requested quantity of railing elements. Matching railing posts can be ordered under Posts & Accessories.
To match our balcony and terrace railings, we offer our bolt-on railing posts. Our railing posts are always manufactured with welded-on tabs to which the railing elements are attached. To guarantee fall protection, we recommend seeking professional assistance.
Securing garden gates and gates
How are garden gates attached?
The method of securing garden gates depends on the type of posts used and the size and weight of the gate. The following options are possible:
- with eye bolts on 5 x 5 cm steel posts
- with adjustable straps with mounting plate on existing stone posts or larger steel posts (10 x 10 cm)
Included in the delivery are a strike plate with screws, a tubular frame lock with adjustable rotation direction and the corresponding screws, as well as two eye bolts for attaching to our steel posts.
For on-site assembly, ideally two magnetic spirit levels and a drill with an M8 tap are required.
Eye bolts are necessary to attach your garden gate to steel posts. Detailed instructions on how to attach it using eye bolts can be found here.

How are gates attached?
The mounting of double-leaf gates depends on the type of mounting posts and the size and weight of the gate. The following options are possible:
- with adjustable straps with mounting plate for existing stone posts
- with adjustable straps with mounting plate for larger steel posts (10x10 cm)
Included in the delivery are a strike plate with screws, a tubular frame lock with adjustable rotation direction and the corresponding screws, as well as four adjustable hinges with a mounting plate.
In addition, you can purchase the corresponding 10 x 10 cm posts for concreting from us. To ensure you can use your gate without any problems, we also recommend the following accessories:
- Lock cylinde
- Modern lever handle set
- Classic lever handle set
- Locking mechanis
You will need the following accessories and tools to assemble your gate:
- 16x M8 25 mm screws (+ washers)
- Drill with M8 tap
- Spirit level (ideally two magnetic spirit levels)
