Data Collection on Our Website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the legal notice of this website.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected in two ways: firstly, when you provide it to us. This could include, for example, data that you enter into a contact form.

Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This includes primarily technical data (e.g., internet browser, operating system, or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you access our website.

What do we use your data for?

Some data is collected to ensure the website functions correctly. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking, or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as for any further questions regarding data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address provided in the legal notice. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Analytics tools and third-party tools

When you visit our website, your browsing behavior may be statistically analyzed.

This is done primarily using cookies and so-called analytics programs. The analysis of your browsing behavior is generally anonymous; your browsing behavior cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. Detailed information can be found in the following privacy policy.

You can object to this analysis. We will inform you about the options for objecting in this privacy policy.

Integration of the Trusted Shops Trustbadge / other widgets

Trusted Shops widgets are integrated on this website to display Trusted Shops services (e.g., seals of approval, collected reviews) and to offer Trusted Shops products to buyers after an order.

This serves to protect our legitimate interests, which outweigh your interests, in optimal marketing by enabling secure shopping in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The Trustbadge and the services advertised with it are offered by Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne, with whom we are jointly responsible for data protection in accordance with Article 26 of the GDPR. In the following, we inform you about the essential contractual terms pursuant to Article 26(2) of the GDPR within the framework of this privacy notice. The Trustbadge is provided by a US-based CDN (Content Delivery Network) provider as part of our joint controllership. An adequate level of data protection is ensured through standard contractual clauses and other contractual measures. Further information on data protection at Trusted Shops GmbH can be found in their Privacy Policy.

When the Trustbadge is accessed, the web server automatically saves a server log file, which also contains your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access. The IP address is anonymized immediately after collection, so that the stored data cannot be associated with you personally. The anonymized data is used in particular for statistical purposes and for error analysis.

After order completion, your email address, hashed using a cryptographic one-way function, is transmitted to Trusted Shops GmbH. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. This serves to verify whether you are already registered for services with Trusted Shops GmbH and is therefore necessary for the fulfillment of our and Trusted Shops' overriding legitimate interests in providing buyer protection and transactional review services linked to the specific order, in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. If this is the case, further processing will take place in accordance with the contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops. If you are not yet registered for the services, you will subsequently have the opportunity to do so for the first time. Further processing after successful registration is also governed by the contractual agreement with Trusted Shops GmbH. If you do not register, all transmitted data will be automatically deleted by Trusted Shops GmbH, and personal identification will then no longer be possible. Trusted Shops uses service providers in the areas of hosting, monitoring, and logging. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR for the purpose of ensuring smooth operation. Processing may take place in third countries (USA and Israel). An adequate level of data protection is ensured in the case of the USA through standard contractual clauses and other contractual measures, and in the case of Israel through an adequacy decision.

Within the framework of the joint controllership between us and Trusted Shops GmbH, please contact Trusted Shops GmbH preferably with any data protection questions and to assert your rights, using the contact options provided in the data protection information linked above. However, you can always contact the controller of your choice. Your inquiry will then be forwarded to the other controller for a response, if necessary.

4. Analysis Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. We use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited). With your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR), usage data is processed to analyze behavior on our website. IP addresses are anonymized, and event data is stored for 14 months. Optional Google Signals allow cross-device analysis, provided you have consented in your Google account. You can revoke this consent at any time via the cookie settings. IP Anonymization We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Browser Plugin You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to fully utilize all the functions of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to Data Collection

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the collection of your data on future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics.

More information about how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Data Processing Agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully comply with the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the features of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with Google's cross-device capabilities. AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This feature allows you to link advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device features of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages, tailored to you based on your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g., mobile phone), can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC). If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google account for this purpose. This allows the same personalized advertising messages to be displayed on every device where you sign in with your Google account.

To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs, which are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create audiences for cross-device advertising.

You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by disabling personalized advertising in your Google account; follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The aggregation of the collected data in your Google account is based solely on your consent, which you can grant or withdraw at Google (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). In data collection processes that are not merged into your Google account (e.g., because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merging), the collection of data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymised analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes. Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads. Ads is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

As part of Google Ads, we use what is known as conversion tracking. When you click on an advertisement placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser stores on the user's computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for the personal identification of users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page.

Every Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that allows users to be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web presence and its advertising.

More information about Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, as well as activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2 to control the behavior of our Google tags according to your consent in the cookie banner. If no consent is given, our tag sends anonymized signals to Google, which are used exclusively for the modeled measurement of aggregated conversion data. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Google Customer Match

Provided you have given your consent, we use hashed customer data (e.g., email address) to create target groups for personalized ads in Google Ads ("Customer Match"). The hash values are transmitted to Google Ireland Limited, where they are matched with Google accounts. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. After the matching process, the hash values are deleted. Processing in the USA by Google LLC is possible; this is secured by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and additionally by standard contractual clauses.

Enhanced Conversions

We use the "Enhanced Conversions" function to assign conversions more accurately. In this process, hashed order data (e.g., email) can be securely transmitted to Google. The data is used exclusively for performance measurement. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Bing Universal Event Tracking (UET)

If you reach our website via such an ad, a cookie is set on your computer. A Bing UET tag is integrated into our website. This is a code through which, in conjunction with the cookie, some non-personal data about the use of the website is stored. This includes, among other things, the length of time spent on the website, which areas of the website were accessed, and which advertisement the users used to reach the website. Information regarding your identity is not collected.

The collected information is transferred to Microsoft servers in the USA and generally stored there for a maximum of 180 days. You can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website, as well as the processing of this data, by deactivating the setting of cookies. This may restrict the functionality of the website.

In addition, Microsoft may be able to track your usage behavior across several of your electronic devices through so-called cross-device tracking and is thus able to display personalized advertising on or in Microsoft websites and apps. You can deactivate this behavior at http://choice.microsoft.com/en-us/opt-out.

Further information on Bing's analysis services can be found on the Bing Ads website (https://help.bingads.microsoft.com/#apex/3/en/53056/2).
